Stepped outside yesterday evening and saw some very unusual undulating clouds. I grabbed my camera bag and tripod and rushed over to Blendon Woods Metro Park. Went back to Inniswood Metro Gardens yesterday morning with no plan other than wander around and photograph whatever grabs my attention. It worked out pretty well. Granted, you can point your camera almost anywhere in Inniswood can have a good photo. The gardens are amazing and the amount of work and dedication they require is humbling. Rockstall Nature Preserve is a lesser known spot in Hocking Hills, Ohio. A quick hike leads to a beautiful hollow with two waterfalls, a large shallow pool. a creek, and steep cliffs.
Post processing is as much a part of photography as composition and it always has been. It is one of the things that elevates a snapshot to art. It’s why I say I create photos instead of taking them. In my own post processing I always strive to find a balance between the fact and the fiction. Finding that balance can be a challenge.
