After a good rain, this relatively unknown hollow in Hocking Hills, Ohio has a very impressive 90’+ (27m) waterfall and it’s easy to reach. On my last visit it was really flowing and I tried something new to try and capture it – 360 video!
On a recent visit to Hocking Hills, I took along a panoramic tripod head and a fisheye lens to create a 360 degree interactive photo. The results are good enough for me to want to create more of these virtual tours of the Ohio adventure spots I explore.
Not far from Old Man’s Cave in Hocking Hills, Ohio is another, less well known, deep gorge called Red Rock Hollow. After reading about it a couple years ago, I’ve been eager to try and find it. Recently I went with @big4ord and @jbigford to check it out. We had a flawless late-Spring morning to explore this fantastic part of Hocking Hills. You need really dark skies to photograph the Milky Way. Recently I’ve been so preoccupied with improving my Milky Way photography that I’ve dismissed taking photos on clear nights if the moon is out. Turns out I was missing what these beautiful, clear, moonlit nights had to show me.
