Stacked Sunrise

What happens when you take all the photos that make up a sunrise timelapse video and mash them together into one image? A timestack, that’s what.

Even after a week of much warmer temperatures, there is still a lot of ice on the very swollen Hoover Reservoir. I rushed to my favorite spot for shooting sunrises and got there about 15 minutes before the sun would come over the hills. After a couple test shots, I set the intervalameter for 200 pictures 5 seconds apart.

I’ve made a free script for creating a time stack in Photoshop. Get it here: http://sherrill-photography.com/time-stacker-script/
