Look Around

On a recent visit to Hocking Hills, I took along a panoramic tripod head and a fisheye lens to create a 360 degree interactive photo. The results are good enough for me to want to create more of these virtual tours of the Ohio adventure spots I explore.

Red Rock Hollow

Not far from Old Man’s Cave in Hocking Hills, Ohio is another, less well known, deep gorge called Red Rock Hollow. After reading about it a couple years ago, I’ve been eager to try and find it. Recently I went with @big4ord and @jbigford to check it out. We had a flawless late-Spring morning to explore this fantastic part of Hocking Hills. Little Rocky Hollow

If you enjoy nature but don’t like throngs of people enjoying it with you, a visit to one of Ohio’s spectacular nature preserves may be an adventure you’ll enjoy. No trails, no handrails, and no bridges means it’s not for everyone, but the extra effort required to explore these unspoiled spaces can be well rewarded – especially for a landscape photographer who loves waterfalls.
