April in Aspen

I was lucky enough to spend a week in Aspen with a life long friend who was very patient with my frequent photo stops. When a big cloud front starting moving over Aspen Mountain in just the right direction, I couldn’t resist shooting a time stack. The first photo is 798 pictures taken a couple seconds apart and blended in StarStaX.

Not far from Basalt, CO is Seven Castles Creek. It winds through a beautiful, narrow red rock canyon. The other two images were taken in the late morning when the sun was just high enough to start shining in to the canyon.
